Educational sector

Empowerment and Potential currently contract to Ministry of education and collaborate with the judiciary/ Police providing services both in and out of Schools to support emerging mental health and wellbeing concerns affecting students/ākonga's Taha Tinana, Taha Wairua, Taha Whānau, Taha Hinengaro such as:

  • Anxiety (including reluctance to come to school, avoidance of social situations, sleeping, eating issues)
  • Friendship and peer relationship issues
  • Emotional regulation (difficulty managing disappointment, sharing with others, peer conflict)
  • Disengagement from learning (avoidance of activities, tasks, people)
  • Managing grief, change, and loss
  • Impact of early or ongoing traumatic experiences
  • Navigating whānau changes such as parental separation, foster care, Oranga Tamariki involvement

Judiciary sector: Collaboration with the police

Furthermore, we extend our services beyond the confines of educational and clinical establishments to cater 'youth at risk', offering them a dynamic and enjoyable avenue for channelling their energy, cultivating emotional self-regulation, nurturing leadership qualities, fostering positive role models, and cultivating their roles as valuable contributors to society and the community.

Respiratory service: In collaboration with Think Hauora

Our business supports community-based respiratory test and provides specialised training to clinicians.

The delivery of spirometry assessment requires:

  • The provision of appropriate training and competency assessment for personnel;
  • Calibrated and certified equipment; and
  • A high level of continued quality control to ensure reliable and accurate results.

Other services:

  • Managing respiratory Quality Control Systems
  • Maintaining respiratory documentation.
  • Participating in Quality Assurance program and Continued quality improvement.
  • Lead the educational teaching efforts both online and in person
  • Overseeing Laboratory Administration.
  • Ensuring efficient use of resources.
