Director Josh Te Rauna Clinical Exercise Physiologist and Respiratory Physiologist
Director's Background
My childhood was filled with challenges
I always aspired to create a better life and break away from the cycle I was born into. The impact of these experiences shaped me, later leading to struggles with anxiety and depression.
A few years after high school, I was encouraged by Billy Meehan to start my studies at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa, where I completed a Certificate in Applied Sports Studies in 2007.
In 2013, I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Exercise Physiology, working with patients facing chronic diseases and mental health challenges. The rewards of helping people improve their quality of life were immeasurable, like the patient who proudly told me he could once again bend over to tie his shoes without struggling and returning to play golf.
